Meet Robina Khan

Since being called to the bar in Ontario in 2016, Robina has practiced exclusively in the area of family law. As a certified mediator and lawyer, Robina makes every effort to ensure her practice promotes peaceful resolution for separating families through facilitated negotiations and creative problem-solving.

Robina obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology & Arts and Business (Co-operative Program) from the University of Waterloo and graduated on the Dean’s Honours List. She obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa and graduated cum laude.

Robina is currently a certified mediator with the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO) and practices as a family mediator at her practice, Oakville Mediation.

In order to become a certified mediator, she completed her Certificate in Family Mediation at York University. This program included training in Family Mediation, Family Relations, and Screening for Family Violence, Abuse, and Power Imbalances.

Robina completed her internship training with Cathryn Paul at Paul Family Law Professional Corporation both before and after joining the firm as an associate.

Robina coached mediators-in-training at the FDRIO Mediation Practicum Course, a program designed to help new mediators obtain some of their accreditation requirements.

In many ways, Robina’s background in law, psychology, dispute resolution and business make her uniquely suited to help families. Her education and professional experiences have shaped her existing practice into one that reflects who she is as a family law professional.

Robina is a member of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), Halton County Law Association (HCLA), Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO), and Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
